VoIP saves cost
My company has just setup a VoIP system between our 3 offices - Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. This setup has saved us quite a lot in IDD charges, although it is not as reliable and the quality isn't that great.

Re: VoIP saves cost
Outsourced.
And surprising cheap. S$450 for the setup. Comes with 3 intercom sets. Additional call cards at S$200 each and with 3 ports. But the other overseas office have to have the same setup for it to work.

Re: VoIP saves cost
VOIP in Indonesia currently is not clear regulations. VOIP best price but concern about voice quality.

Re: VoIP saves cost
Yes. its a major concern when it comes to voice clarity.
Great thing is, VoIP gateway can be portable, for example, if You are going oversea and staying in a hotel, VoIP gateway can be plucked into hotel's line. cost will be charged into Company side using VPN.
Cost-Saving
I had experienced it with a Swiss guy from europe calling. All I can say is, the clarity is very lousy.
< Did mod erase my earlier post on this? Cos i think I had a relevant post on it?> Just to check

Re: VoIP saves cost
VoIP really depends on the audio compression of the VoIP device and of course, your bandwidth. I tried using Skype, the audio quality is ok, but it lags. Using hardware compression will certainly improve the audio quality, but by how much, I am not too sure.
Anyone using ISDN for Video and Voice calls?
