Yahoo and Microsoft will merger
I found scary news about the plan to merger 2 business giant, yahoo and microsoft.

Yahoo known as Internet giant while microsoft known as software giant.
The reason behind this plan is to compete with google.com
Microsoft, the world's largest software company, is reportedly in preliminary talks to buy online search company Yahoo!. And if the two companies do decide to merge, they could create an Internet advertising powerhouse that would rival industry leader Google, analysts said.

It sound pretty hard for google.com to catch up with Yahoo.com already. I doubt the merger is not about competing with google.com but rather, to monopoly the online industry.
They are pretty ambitious.. & the way it goes shows that Bill Gate is pretty much involved as the style of merger matches Gate's style

in search engine industry, I believe google still the winner. however, yahoo still become a winner for overall online business. because yahoo is still the highest visitors so far according to alexa.com.
What i read from report, microsoft and yahoo probably want to merger to win search engine war.

yeah google have very good word-of-mouth marketing strategy. However, don't you see Alexa? live.com, one of Microsoft search engine, live.com visitors Increase so fast this month. According to alexa, live.com right now have reach 16% of internet user.
